Coined Rivendell’s “Hillibike”, it’s a spin on a rigid steel mountain bike, with mondo tire clearance. It’s ultra long wheelbase sets the rider up to roll over nearly any undulation with ease, all while providing a more upright riding position, for a relaxed “heads up” posture.
The frame’s mid-step thru design offers an advantage on uneven dismounts. Built to withstand the rigors of more aggressive riding, the fillet-brazed construction is reminiscent of vintage Ritchey frames with smooth contours between each tube. Selective lugwork and a stout segmented fork add to the eye candy.
We built this Susie/Wolbis up as a shop demo, so it’s seen some VERY light use, so while not brand new, it is in excellent condition 9/10.
